Hitting on every cylinder available to them, and playing essentially error-free softball, the Beer Burglars Shermanesquely marched through the final three games of the regular season, destroying BWCS’s riffraff by a combined score 0f 58-17.

In doing so, the Burglars (11-1) ran their winning streak to ten and guaranteed themselves one of the league’s top four seeds — ensuring a first-round bye to begin the double-elimination playoffs.

Assuming no major upsets this week, the Burglars will find themselves in a three-way tie for the regular season crown with Buffs Pub and Nice Peepers. All three teams played one another in the regular season and finished 1-1 head-to-head.

Under BWCS bylaws, the first tiebreaker in such situations is the number of playoff teams played during the regular season. Barring a major last-minute shake-up in the league standings, the Burglars would earn the #2 seed behind Nice Peepers.
